Care model

Governed by a clinical practice framework, providing a safe environment for guests experiencing acute suicidality to recover and rebuild.

jacks place Foundation
will implement evidence-based therapeutic models of care

Evidence-based practice

Evidence-based practice is an approach to care that integrates three crucial components:

Research Evidence

Is the knowledge base that informs clinical decision-making. It involves using the best available research evidence. This evidence is drawn from scientific studies, clinical trials, and systematic practice reviews

Clinical Expertise

Clinicians bring their practical experience, professional judgement, and clinical expertise to the table. They consider individual needs and contexts. Evidence-based practice combines research evidence with the clinical expertise of health and social care professionals

Patient Values and Preferences

What matters to the person matters in shaping the care they receive. Evidence-based practice recognises that each person is unique. It considers the individual’s values, preferences, and goals

Evidence-based models

Evidence-based models of care are important to us at jacks place Foundation because they focus on:

Quality care

Implementing evidence-based interventions leads to better outcomes and improved quality of life for people choosing our care

Minimising harm

By avoiding ineffective or potentially harmful treatments, our model will help minimise harm to people trusting us with their care

  • People who are, or have recently been, using alcohol and other drugs of dependence.

  • Customer and Service
  • Delivery Risks Operational Risks
  • Personnel Health and Safety Risks
